Vita Mozūraitė‘s Prize for people changing the contemporary dance world

A choreographer, dancer and educator Lina Puodžiukaitė-Lanauskienė was awarded the dance critic, bibliographer, doctor of social science Vita Mozūraitė‘s (1960-2014) Prize in the closing evening of the festival “New Baltic Dance‘18“ on the 13th of May, this year.  The laureate was elected by the Awards Committee which consists of critics and practitioners of performing arts.

This prize is awarded in order to honour people who change the contemporary dance world, broaden its horizons, start to create phenomena in the territory, analyse it and make an impact on the state‘s policy on art and dance.

The Vita Mozūraitė Prize is not financial, but the possibility for a laureate with an accompanying person to see a chosen dance performance in Europe. The trip is sponsored by Lithuanian Dance Information Centre, Association of Performing Art Critics and the company “Puantas”.
