Special Lithuanian Focus in Bulgarian Dance Festival

“One Dance Week” – the one and only Bulgarian festival dedicated entirely to contemporary dance has announced a Lithuanian Focus this year. The festival will present three acknowledged, both locally and internationally known Lithuanian dance performances. In this year’s programme, next to Lithuanians – such exclusive names as Dimitris Papaioannou and Omar Rajeh.

Eleventh edition of dance forum will take place in Plodiv city form September 21st till October 14th and will end the programme with Lithuanian performances. Participants of the programme are Kaunas dance theater “Aura” with performance “Godos” (chor. Birutė Letukaitė / Anne Ekenes, Pia Holden; Lithuania / Norway), Vilnius city dance theater “Low Air” with their newest piece “Game Over” (chor. Airida Gudaitė, Laurynas Žakevičius) and the team of Mantas Stabačinskas, Paulius Tamolė and Agnė Ramanauskaitė with their performance „Contemporary?“, created in Arts Printing House. According to the director of Lithuanian Dance Information Center and curator of the festival‘s Lithuanian Focus, Gintarė Masteikaitė, this presentation is a result of Lithuanian dance platform and it took more than two years to plan.
