Time for Conversation and Films: Evening Programme of Dance.lt Summer Intensive

Lithuanian Dance Information Center invites you to join the evening programme of Dance.lt Summer Intensive. It will complement the intensive practical part of dance workshops and creative labs, which will take place on 16-24th of August. The programme includes informal communication with teachers and like-minded to get more inspiration. Most events are open and free for both workshop participants and others who are interested in dance.


Evening Programme:

20 August, 8 p.m. Cozy discussion night in the café of the Arts Printing House. An opportunity to meet the teachers of Dance.lt Summer Intensive, talk, share experiences and ask questions. Clementine Deluy, Douglas Becker, Emily McDaniel, Helder Seabra, Roser Lopez Espinosa and Lukas Karvelis will be participating in the event.

23 August, 8 p.m. Screening of the short documentary premiere “Portraits of Lithuanian Dance Creators: Martynas Rimeikis and Rūta Butkus”. The screening will take place at the Pocket Hall of Arts Printing House and will be followed by discussion which will be moderated by Helmutas Šabasevičius. “Portraits of Lithuanian Dance Creators” (project by Lithuanian Dance Information Centre) presents Lithuanian contemporary dance creators and performers, their personalities and artistic work as well as events and moments important for Lithuanian dance history.

24 August. The closing evening – perhaps the most exciting part of Dance.lt Summer Intensive. During the short presentations, workshop participants will share some material from the intensive dance week and later everybody will move to the night dance floor. Friends and families of the participants are very welcome and this event as well as anyone else interested in a fun evening.

More events are being prepared exclusively for Dance.lt Summer Intensive participants: informal meetings and discussions with teachers and other participants, Tibetan bowls meditation which will help to relax after exhausting training.

Dance.lt Summer Intensive takes place in Vilnius, 16-24 August. Project is organized by Lithuanian Dance Information Centre, financed by Lithuanian Council for Culture, Vilnius City Municipality and Lithuanian Culture Ministry. All three public events are open and free for everyone.
