*The performance “Mikado” is inspired by the society that is constantly changing. Reflections on changing ways of behaving, communicating, developing of a superficial view of relationships and the environment, the benefits and dangers of immersing themselves in the breadth of social networks, the lack of a critical thinking audience. Without being banal, this situation forces us to look for points of resilience, a new social connection based on lasting and shared human values, understood in all languages in every part of the world.
The performance’s name, content and form are determined by the creative team’s desire to combine several essential elements of existence: the primordial human body, archaic wooden sticks, and today’s media devices. A similar trilogy will be used to develop the language of movement: the natural physicality of the human body, the archaic tradition of Aikido and martial arts, and contemporary dance.
