Gintarė Marija Ščavinskaitė is a graduate of the Šiauliai Saulius Sondeckis School of Arts, choreography department. In 2013, she got her bachelor’s degree as an educator in contemporary dance from the Vilnius College, and started working as a professional dancer-performer in a dance theatre AURA, where she collaborated with artists from Lithuania and abroad: Birutė Letukaitė, Samuel Mathieu, Pia Holden, Anne Ekenes, Paul Hess, etc.

Gintarė has performed in various countries – the USA, Norway, Italy, and so forth. She has been a member of the Lithuanian Contemporary Dance Association since 2017, starting her path as a dancer for hire, teacher, and choreographer. She was awarded the Golden Stage Cross the same year for her part in the dance play “Aside”.
