National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art

About

With over 900 students, aged from 7 to 19, The National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art is one of the largest music and fine art specialist school and the only professional ballet school in the Republic of Lithuania. Starting year 2010 a modern dance program has been opened at the Ballet Department providing a wider range of choices for students who maybe are unable to continue their studies in Classical Ballet. The first graduates of the program are currently studying dance in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Zurich, and Lithuania.

To help bridge the gap between training and a professional career students give regular performances at a Dance Theater – some are full-length ballets, some are contemporary productions and others are short matinee performances danced by youngest for the young audience of their age. Students also participate at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet performances.
