Paulius Prievelis – is a dancer, performer, choreographer, and teacher, specializing in contemporary dance and improvisation art.
In 2013, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in teaching specializing in contemporary dance and choreography from the Vilnius College, University of Applied Sciences. In addition, he studied at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus.
He worked at Kaunas Dance Theatre AURA (Lithuania) till 2016. Now Paulius is working as a teacher and freelance dancer.
Paulius creative works have been featured on Lithuanian and foreign scenes since 2017, therefore in 2019 he established his own creative production – /pp.beings/. His works were presented in festivals and venues in Bulgaria, Germany, Malta, Belarus, the Netherlands, and Italy.
In his works, Paulius explores new forms of movement and performance practices, such as stand-up performance; analyses emotional intelligence and psychological connection with an artist body, its physical preparation, performative approaches; investigates social topics of various cultural, sub-cultural and social nuances.
Paulius initiated to organize the International Contemporary Art Festival STARTAS in Rokiškis, Lithuania back in 2017, and continuous working as one of the festival Artistic Directors.
