Raimonda Gudavičiūtė started her career as a performer in 2001 with a dance theatre AURA. In 2005, she began her bachelor’s studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, as an actor-dancer (under A. Naginevičiūtė).
The scholarship she won in 2006 allowed her to study at the national music and dance conservatory in Lyon. Raimonda got her master’s degree in 2009, and during those studies she was a part of the TADaC’09 troupe which consisted of fellow students.
In 2008, she collaborated with AURA, and her work “Atgal” [“Back”] was presented at the 18th international AURA dance festival in Kaunas and the New Baltic Dance festival in Vilnius. Together with Mantas Stabačinskas, she introduced two choreographic pieces in 2009, one of which was shown in Graz (Austria), Canterbury (UK), Berlin and Frankfurt (Germany).
Raimonda is also an active dance instructor, having given classes in Lithuania, Finland, Germany (Tanzlabor21 Frankfurt, K-3 Zentrum Hamburg, Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst as a guest lecturer), and Austria, where she assisted K. Kussmaul at the Vienna international dance festival ImpulsTanz ’09.
She has been working as a freelance dancer since 2010, and taking part in projects in Germany, Finland, and Austria. Her most recent piece “Within” (with Swede S. Lundström) was shown multiple times in Frankfurt, Marburg, Skellefleä, Linz, and Vilnius. She has been residing and working in Germany since 2011.
