Ballet

In his thirty years of artistic work in the field of dance, Ido has created a rich array of dances. Parts of these dances will be drawn upon for activities in this workshop. In the process he will focus on materials and elements from selected dances, work on them with participants, explore how they were constructed, and use them as a basis for developing an enriching process of movement study. Participation in this workshops, analyzing various materials that have been produced on stage before an audience, may serve to enrich participant’s world, enhance their technical abilities, and hone their performance skills.

Biography

Ido Tadmor the 2011 winner of the highly respected ‘Landau Prize’ in Israel for life achievement. Having celebrated his thirty years of international career, last year he was appointed as Artistic director to the ‘Israeli Ballet’. A lead dancer, choreographer, judge in professional dance competitions in Israel and elsewhere, artistic director of competitions and festivals, Ido Tadmor began his studies at the Bat Dor Dance School, shortly afterwards joined the Bat Dor Dance Company, and later on to Bat Sheva Dance Company as lead dancer in many works created by famous choreographers from all over the world.

As a teacher, Tadmor has taught in the leading dance companies in the world, in Israel and in famous schools in Europe-e.g. The Dance Academy in Rome and Artemis in Amsterdam. During the past 3 decades, Ido Tadmor has represented the State of Israel around the world as an “Ambassador of Dance”.
