Lorand Zachar /

COMTEMPORARY DANCE TECHNIQUE / B level, C level workshops

Lorand Zachar is constantly looking for the meaning behind the movements, sometimes in clear and simple way, sometimes with reaching complex extremities of the body. He utilizes maximum physical capabilities and his unique body-language. The often used floor-technique in the classes seeks to experience the movement fluidity. Combinations in the workshops are characterized by the extremely isolated and self-conscious body-use.

After dance education Lorand Zachar, born in Hungary, spent eight years at Budapest Dance Theatre. Later on he worked in the Netherlands with the Djazzex Dance Company and Danceworks Rotterdam. After finishing his professional dancer career he started to make his own works as well as teaching internationally. He made pieces for Budapest Dance Theatre, Inversedance, Ballet Jazz Art, Codarts, BaDora Dance Company, Inversedance, Ballet Debrecen and Ballet Pecs, etc. He is one of the permanent guest teachers and choreographers of the Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy. As a contemporary dance teacher he is often invited for various intensive dance stages in Europe and Asia.
