Ilze Zirina / CONTEMPORARY DANCE

Contemporary dance “Floor or air – what is where?..” / A+B level, B+C level

A workshop for those who like or who want to develop themselves as a creative performer. The workshop invites to play with the energy and timing while moving through the space. Using floor as a water to dive in, to slide on the surface or push ourselves out from it – in order to dive into the air.

It will start with improvisation tasks which introduce to the theme of the day. Some of them will be connected to the work with a partner, some – solo. Then proposed movement sequences will invite you to explore certain qualities of the movement in relationship with the floor and the connection between floor and air. Individual approach to movement principles will be part of the creative process.
