Upon graduating from Canada’s National Ballet School, Paul trained for a year at the Rotterdam Dance Academy and then moved on to dance with IT Dansa in Barcelona and then the Gothenburg Opera Ballet. Later as a freelance dancer, he worked with choreographers in Scandinavia, Italy, and Germany, and had the fortune to perform at The Barbican in London and The Kennedy Centre in Washington, D.C. with Andersson Dance’s “Goldberg Variations – ternary patterns for insomnia”.
Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner since 2015. Jeremy Krauss Approach (JKA) Practitioner and Therapist since 2019. Currently the rehearsal director/choreographic assistant for Of Curious Nature, a contemporary dance company based in Bremen, Germany.
As a Feldenkrais teacher, Paul taught at some professional dance companies: Danish Dance Theatre, Norrdans, Skånes Dansteater, Cullberg, Das Ballett des Staatstheaters am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, Hong Kong Ballet, Tanz Theater Regensburg, Regionteater Väst, Royal Danish Ballet, as well as dance schools: The Danish National School of Performing Arts, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Balletakademien, The Royal Swedish Ballet School, Sceneindgangen, Le Studio Ballet, and in cultural institutions: Danscentrum Väst, Dansalliansen, The Danish Actors’ Association.
Paul also teaches online through The Exhale, Movement and Creativity Library, The Exhale for musicians, as well as his own private groups. Recently, his chapter about Feldenkrais and Dance was published in the new “The Feldenkrais Method® Learning Through Movement” book edited by Staffan Elgelid and Chrish Kresge.

Originally from Germany, Nina Funk is currently based in the Netherlands. She has been studying Countertechnique intensively since 2013, including three One Body One Career Intensives. She was certified as a Teacher Countertechnique in 2016 and successfully attended a second Countertechnique Teacher Training program in 2020.
After graduating in 2008 from the BA Dance Teacher department at the ArtEZ School of Dance in Arnhem (The Netherlands), Nina continued her studies at Trinity Laban in London. She also took workshops with Batsheva Dance Company and Hofesh Shechter Company.
Dancing, choreographing and teaching are three elements of equal importance for Nina. In each element she finds inspiration to develop herself further and to share her passion with others. As a dancer, Nina has performed in the work of choreographers such as Wies Bloemen, Fleur Darkin, Adriaan Luteijn, Lorenzo Borella and Marc Brew. Currently, she holds a teaching position at the ArtEZ School of Dance. Nina also works as a freelance teacher and choreographer in various other places in The Netherlands and abroad. She has for several years been part of the education department of contemporary ballet company Introdans and has continued to work for them as freelance teacher and dancer, where she performed in inclusion work of Adriaan Luteijn for the first time. Nina worked for him as assistant choreographer with Flatfoot Dance Company in Durban (SA). Since then Nina’s interest in working, creating and dancing with different groups and dancers with all kinds of abilities has grown and is still a big interest in her work.
“ My first Countertechnique class was an incredible experience: I felt so ready, free and warmed up, I didn’t want to stop dancing. After that initial class, I just wanted to repeat the experience over and over, to reproduce this same feeling. The class is so cleverly structured, step by step it builds the awareness of your body and the space around you, and the possibilities to use them – and then finally you find yourself flying through the room! What stuck with me the most in all the last years practising Countertechnique as a dancer, was that I should always stay in the process, make a clear choice which of the tools available I wanted to use and then go for it full out. Dancing is this unique moment, never the same. But the more you understand your body and the possibilities it has, the more you can explore it, get the most out of every moment and have fun playing around and dancing.”

Defne Erdur (TR/FR) is a mover, researcher and a therapist working in the fields of performing arts, health and education. She is trained in Contemporary Dance (PhD), Sociology (BA,MA), Inter-model Expressive Art Therapy and Creativity, Meditation (World Peace Initiative), and Trauma Healing (Somatic Experiencing, Integral Somatic Psychology, Full Embodiment). Having worked with pioneers in Somatics and different therapeutic modalities, she is actively practising and researching towards a deeper understanding of the body as a bio-psycho-social whole.
Invested in building safe, inclusive, and collaborative creative environments she offers workshops – Hunting Gathering Cultivating, Every Body Knows, Consent Improvisation– around the world. She works with different populations with different inquiries; ranging from professional and amateur dancers to therapists; from women & LGBTQ+ people to migrant children & youth.
Her movement teaching practice is mostly informed by her intensive trainings with Simone Forti, Julyen Hamilton, John Britton, Nancy Stark Smith, Daniel Lepkoff, Kirstie Simson, Nita Little, Frey Faust, Keith Hennessy, Martin Keogh, Aydın Teker, Marcia Plevin, Julia Buckroyd and Şebnem Aksan.
In sum, she is curiously dancing on the transitive line between art and life – where the prospect of all her work is to mediate people to relate to their own self and accompany them in their artistic, physical, mental, and emotional processes towards wellbeing.

Theo Clinkard is based in Devon, England and his practice spans choreography, pedagogy, performance and design. Following 18 years dancing for many celebrated choreographers Theo launched his own dance company in 2012 and has steadily built an international reputation for creating affecting and visually arresting dances for small to large-scale theatres as well as non-theatre settings. Past company productions include Ordinary Courage, Chalk, Of Land & Tongue and This Bright Field and his company has toured to Chile, Ireland, Switzerland, and Germany. Current works include The Elsewhen Series; a set of duet scores for gallery and museum spaces that he will perform with regular collaborator, Leah Marojević and a new group work Village that will premiere at Sadler’s Wells in 2024. Recent commissioned works include creations for Tanztheatre Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Danza Contemporanea de Cuba and Candoco Dance Company.
Theo regularly leads intensive workshops, residencies and classes internationally for professional companies, dance organisations and training institutions, including engagements in Chile, Belgium, Ireland, Germany, Wales, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, United States, France, Spain, Cuba, Italy, Finland, Sweden and Norway. He is an Associate Artist at Brighton Dome & Festival and an Honorary Fellow at Plymouth University.

Workshop: Your Own God, Intensive Improvisation workshop – for C level
Judith Sánchez Ruíz began her dance studies at the age of eleven at the National School of Arts in Ciudad de la Habana, Cuba. The Berlin-based director worked in New York City since 1999 and relocated to Berlin in 2011. She established the JSR Company in NYC in 2010, creating numerous choreographic stage works and Site Specific projects involving live music with innovative composers and visual artists throughout Europe, US, Latin America, and Asia. Former member of Sasha Waltz & Guest (2011-2014); Trisha Brown Dance Company (2006-2009); Mal Pelo Company (1997-1999); and DanzAbierta Company (1991-1996), among others like Deborah Hay (2012); DD Dorvillier (2002, 2019); and David Zambrano (1997).
She has been awarded grants by The Rockefeller Brothers Fund, The American Music Center’s Live Music for Dance program, and the Baryshnikov Arts Center. Her work has been commissioned at Danspace Project St. Marks Church, Work & Progress at Guggenheim Museum, Whitney Museum, and Storm King Art Center, NY; Residency Award at Choreographisches Centrum Heidelberg in Projekt der TANZAllianz, Heidelberg, Germany (2017) and DIS-TANZEN grant, sponsored by the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (2020).

Creative workshop “Reports from the dark rooms of the body” – for C level
Elina Pirinen’s artistry and practice is entangled in choreography, dancing, music making, experimental writing and pedagogy. She loves working with the instrument of a live stage, recorded audio and text.
Pirinen thinks about the living and the dying bodies and their states when she creates.
Her art is making love with subconscious registers, deep primary emotions and intelligence through them, constructing psychic, imaginative free states as a shared immersion through choreographical, musical and linguistic layers, systems, rhythms, storms, ghusts and details. Pirinen proposes doomy, joyful, massive, raw, humorous, peculiar, playful esthetics and qualities, intense sexual air, ritualistic forms, colourful visuality, chaotic territories inside and outside the bodies transforming constantly like an uneasy avalanche. Pirinen regularly works as a visiting pedagogue at the Uniarts Helsinki’s Theater Academy, the Degree Programme in Theatre Arts at the University of Tampere, the Zodiak – centre for New Dance and in interdisciplinary summer workshop Sukset Ristiin Susirajalla. Pirinen makes art rock music with her ten-member orchestra Al2Be3, and does volunteer work with animal protection.
“I long for corporeal and aural art that has an ecstatic drive of a subject and a crowd. I long for obsessions, taboos, nightmares, daydreams, sorrow, lust, despair, joy, suffering, silence, horror, satisfaction, shame, unwantedness, imagination and hope. With the people I work with we try to twilight the literal and cognitive representations and readings of these focuses by mixing pre-designed vast score-forms and conditions into improvisational rivers, instant-choreography and performers live dramaturgy. I search for ethical processes that have a wild outcome. All of the above is driven by psychoanalytical depth and try to say something about these realities and experiences here through it, to help to recover from things you need to recover and emancipate from. For me, articulating innerness and the primary in art is a process that has a connection to build both the subject and the intersubjectivity stronger, but it is a very difficult activity due to its shocking intimacy, unknown presence, uncontrollable manner and suffering from the leaking effects of those. I hope my art and the drive for emancipation could console people, and could settle to be a substitute body and landscape for people in pain,” says Pirinen.

Workshop: Fluxness (floorwork meets acrodance) – for B&C levels
Born in Belgium, Antoni Androulakis graduated from the Conservatory of Antwerp( BE) before entering La Manufacture (CH), where he focused on choreographic research as well as creating his own teaching material. Antoni has collaborated & performed with Alexander Vantournhout, Lisbeth Gruwez, Rakesh Sukesh, Eric Minh Cuong Castaing & Adam Benjamin amongst others. Asides performing, he has been the choreographic assistant of the Company Cocoon during the creation of “Attaque” & is currently working on his last solo “Tethered”.
Eager to share his own research, he has been teaching in different countries both in and out of Europe where he aims to connect elements of floor work & acrobatics. Choreography workshop: Writing Dance – for C+ level
Jonathan Burrows is a choreographer whose main focus is an ongoing body of pieces with the composer Matteo Fargion, with whom he continues to perform around the world. He is the author of A Choreographer’s Handbook (Routledge 2010) and Writing Dance (Varamo 2022) and is currently an Associate Professor at the Centre for Dance Research, Coventry University.
DanceAbility Workshop: All Bodies Speak + Afterthoughts: methods and tools – open level
Sally Davison is co-founder of DanceAbility Finland (2008-2023), founder and Artistic Director of Kaaos Company (2010-2023) and X Dance Festival (2016-2023).
Davison has been working with inclusive dance for two decades mainly in Finland. They have worked as a performer, choreographer, teacher, artistic director and producer. Davison is a registered DanceAbility teacher and master trainer.
Davison believes in the intrinsic power of movement to inspire, challenge and research what dance is and can be when not defined by physical or mental prowess but by an innate felt sense of presence and well being. In 2017-2019 Davison completed an MA in Dance and Somatic Well Being and is a Registered Somatic Movement Educator (RSME) with ISMETA.
