CONTEMPORARY DANCE TECHNIQUE \u201eSEQUENCING THROUGH\u201c \/ A+B level, B+C level<\/strong><\/p>\n We will focus the technical approach on the extremities, as a more simple and probably most clear way to understand the potential of generating movement from a distant point and how that possibly affects or put in motion a much longer spectrum of our whole system. From the horizontal to the vertical, from down to up, the process of the class will use as well the notions of weight, contact surfaces and precarious balance as tools to use gravity to move. Through a carefully designed technical exercises, we will progressively build a state where the body will be able to reorient, readdress and consciously master the different decisions and paths the body in motion can take. \u201cSequencing through\u201d propose us to experience a constant flow of conscious relation with our own bodies and the space (or bodies) surrounding us.<\/p>\n BIOGRAPHY \/ Orlando Rodriguez<\/strong><\/p>\n Orlando Rodriguez was born 1974 in Caracas, Venezuela. He made his first steps both in theatre and dance at the Escuela Superior de Artes Esc\u00e9nicas \u201eJuana Sujo\u201c and the Taller Permanente de Danza – Escuela T\u00e9cnica de Artes Visuales \u201eCrist\u00f3bal Rojas\u201c. Between 2004 and 2007, he benefited from a DAAD – Fundayacucho scholarship to study at the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen, Germany, where he A+B level
\nobtained a Postgraduate Diploma as a Dance Performer. He has organized several exchange projects between Venezuela and Germany, such as \u201eTanz in Venezuela\u201c in 2007. He is now a freelance performer and choreographer in Europe, based in Berlin, and collaborated among others with MOUVOIR \/ Stephanie Thiersch (DE), Davide Camplani (IT\/DE), Cie. Morphose \/ Soraya Thomas (FR) and Vincent Bozek (FR). Since 2009 he has been following different engagements with Sasha Waltz & Guests Company in Berlin, performing and collaborating in many projects worldwide. In 2012 he participated in the dance project \u201eMusicTANZ – Carmen\u201c within the education project of the Berliner Philharmoniker, where he took part in the choreographical and pedagogical realisation of the project with over 100 pupils. His curiosity and interest in sharing and transmitting knowledge around body
