Joshua Beamish’s ballet classes are inspired by the teaching style of his mentor Wilhelm Burmann, himself a member of Ballet Frankfurt and New York City Ballet. Employing principles of opposition in the service of elongation and efficiency, Beamish’s class is shaped by his American-style training and his choreographic collaborations with prominent New York City artists such as Wendy Whelan, Associate Artistic Director of New York City Ballet.<\/span><\/p>\n
