The Lithuanian Dance Information Centre (LDIC) continues its remote artist-in-residence programme, announcing the selected participants in the creative and professional artist-in-residence programme. 21 projects will be carried out in this round of the artist-in-residence programme. Dance and circus artists, dramaturges, art critics and other specialists will develop their ideas, deepening their mastery of these artistic fields.<\/p>\n

Dance performances and sketches will be developed by Ema Senkuvien\u0117<\/strong>, the duet of August\u0117 \u017di\u010dkyt\u0117 <\/strong>and Petras Lisauskas<\/strong>, and Marius Pinigis<\/strong>. Artistic exploration will be carried out by Ieva Navickait\u0117, Denisas Kolomyckis, <\/strong>and the duet of Judita Vassa <\/strong>and Viktorija Bobinait\u0117<\/strong>. Mantas Staba\u010dinskas<\/strong> will explore the application of forms of motion to the visually impaired. Some of the artists selected video formats: Viktorija Ambrazait\u0117, Agn\u0117 Muralyt\u0117, <\/strong>and Greta Grinevi\u010di\u016bt\u0117<\/strong> will work on creating films, and a cycle of video clips will be created by Vilma Pitrinait\u0117<\/strong>. Birut\u0117 Banevi\u010di\u016bt\u0117<\/strong> will develop video material for parents, to cultivate dance experience for infants in a digital space.<\/p>\n

Three circus artists were selected for the programme: Lyla Goldman<\/strong> and Aino Makipaa<\/strong>, working in the new Cirko Sapiens centre, will develop virtual circus lessons, and K\u0119stas Matusevi\u010dius<\/strong> will work on formulating a universal structure for the creative process of a circus performance.<\/p>\n

Sigita Iva\u0161kait\u0117<\/strong> will engage in the creative work of dance dramaturgy and research on dramaturgy influenced by the pandemic, Silvija \u010ci\u017eait\u0117-Rudokien\u0117<\/strong> will continue research on Lithuanian contemporary dance, and Monika Citvarait\u0117-Lansbergin\u0117<\/strong> will research the phenomenon of the contemporary circus. Arnolda Noir<\/strong> will explore the Viewpoint<\/em> writing technique. <\/p>\n

The activities of the artists-in-residence will include regular online meetings, close cooperation with the LDIC team and other artists-in-residence.<\/p>\n

In addition to the artist-in-residence programme, LDIC organised a special creative in-residence programme for the international contemporary dance festival New Baltic Dance. From 28 November to 12 December, Lithuanian contemporary dance artists had the opportunity to make use of the Black Hall at the Arts Printing House in the capital, Vilnius, along with complete stage service; the artists created sketches for the lighting and sound production of performances, explored creative scenographic solutions, and filmed or otherwise digitised performance sketches or future premieres. The participants in the creative in-residence programme were the Vytis Jankauskas Dance Company<\/strong>, \u201cBe kompanijos\u201d (Be Company)<\/strong>, the AIROS Dance Theatre<\/strong>, and artists Vilma Pitrinait\u0117<\/strong> and Gr\u0117t\u0117 \u0160mitait\u0117<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
