Monika Neverauskaitė

Monika Neverauskaitė – is a Lithuanian contemporary circus artist. Since she was little, Monika was interested in stage arts, sports, but did not find a type of art that would contain all of her interests. Until she tried the circus. Contemporary circus has become her way of life and means of expression. Her main circus discipline is the Cyr wheel. An important element in Monika’s creative work is freedom. The way only it can be. Brave, fearless, sensitive, naive. Cyr wheel is her second way of breathing.

Monika completed the Norwegian folk dance course at Manger Folkehøhskule in Norway (2010), contemporary circus course at Performers House in Silkeborg, Denmark (2011), contemporary circus Bachelor’s studies at Codarts University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands (2011– 2015), circus arts studies at Le Lido in Toulouse, France (2015–2017), professional formation course in Esacto’Lido in Toulouse, France(2020).

Since 2018, she works with the french circus company Compagnie lMRGée. Together they created two shows – ‘Des Bords de Soi’ (2018) and ‘Médusé.es’ (2022). Since October 2022 she joined another french company Le Grand Raymond in the creation of ‘Ex Ovo’ which premiered in April 2022. In June 2022 Monika created a duo called Accompany ME together with Elena Damasio. Their first show ‘À Mesure – Handle with care’ will premiere in June 2024 in the festival Cirkuliacija in Lithuania. Monika also appears as an independent contemporary circus performer in various events and festivals.
