Storm chasing – mystically sounding, but very real activity practiced by big communities around the world. Enthusiasts of extreme weather conditions follow precise tornado forecasts and rush to search for it as soon as they see one forming, with the goal to observe, feel and document this natural fascination. Through time special organizations were established, offering storm chasing tours and investing money to more and more accurate tornado forecasting technology. Storm Chasing Adventure Tours is the biggest organization of this kind.

Inspired by this phenomenon, artists of various disciplines got together and established Artificial Storm Chasing Adventure Tours specializing in transferring storm chasing experience to indoor spaces. According to authors, now they are creating high quality storm chasing tours for citizens that for different reasons are stuck with indoor experiences. Double Rainbow with Tornado – performance presented by the team and a sight, very highly rated by the storm chasers.

Double Rainbow with Tornado – exceptional performance, atmospheric experience that becomes interactive night with very good music. According to creators, it contains disciplines of choreography, dance, visual arts and contemporary circus in a post-apocalyptic party setting. Giant hot air balloon, powerful wind machines and live DJ techno music – those are just a few components of this unique performance. The piece was a final PHD degree work of Olle Strandberg – one of the team members. Big part of the work was created during the artistic laboratories in one of the biggest and most important European circus companies – Cirkus Cirkör in Sweden.

Lithuanian performing arts professionals will have an opportunity to join this interesting group of people by participating in creative labs on 15-18 October and performing together on 19-20 October.
