Greta Grinevičiūtė

Greta Grinevičiūtė is a contemporary dance artist who is extremely interested in making moving pictures dance, and in performing on stage. From 2016, she has been a member of the Lithuanian Contemporary Dance Association as a part of its council.

Greta already has made few dance movies, one of which is still in postproduction. Her first video dance “Faked David” was selected to be a part of a video dance festival “From Jaffa to Agripas” in Jerusalem, Israel. She is also taking part in lots of stage dance performances with various choreographers at the AIROS dance theatre, Vytis Jankauskas Dance Theatre, collaborating with Simon Pederson, Tony Vezich, Andrius Katinas, and many others.

She has made a few stage dance performances: “Dance for a vacuum cleaner and father” (Mono performance, Arts Printing house, Vilnius, 2018), “B&B Dialogue” (the piece has toured in various countries and was nominated as the best dance piece of the year in 2016 at Lithuanian theatre awards “Golden Stage Cross”), “The ball” (Art printing house, 2015), “Honour for grandmothers” (Kaunas artist house, 2016), and several others. Greta also acts the works by young Lithuanian theatre creators, such as “Things”, “Unlearned lessons”, and “YesMoonCan”. Although the interest field of Greta is moving dance pictures, at the same time she is into developing the connection between stage contemporary dance, stage performance, and video. Greta finds herself feeling like at home when she is acting on stage and believes that people can talk through art about every theme of daily life and far beyond it.
