Since 2020, the Lithuanian Dance Information Center has been running a continuous professional educational program called “Creative Movement Laboratory.” It is designed for people with physical, mental, and complex disabilities, as well as dance professionals who want to apply the principles of integrated dance in their own practice.

The Creative Movement Laboratory aims to strengthen the inclusion of people with disabilities in full social life and to raise public awareness in this regard. In order to achieve long-term results that significantly affect the quality of life, it is very important to ensure the continuity and accessibility of activities when working with socially sensitive groups of society. Through consistent artistic movement practices, the creativity, communication, and nonverbal skills of people with disabilities, as well as their caregivers, are developed.

The educational program is carried out in cooperation with centers and associations that unite people with disabilities. The Creative Movement Laboratory classes are led by professional educator and choreographer Mantas Stabačinskas. He is the winner of various awards and actively implements creative and educational dance projects aimed at increasing the inclusion of people with disabilities by adapting integral dance techniques. Mantas Stabačinskas teaches regular classes for people with disabilities in Kaunas, participates in the Dance Well project as a teacher for people with Parkinson’s disease, and works in theater productions with people with disabilities. During the Creative Movement Laboratory sessions, Mantas Stabačinskas is assisted by professional dancers – contemporary dance professionals who want to improve their qualifications in working with people with disabilities.
