Lithuanian Dance Information Centre is part of the Visiting Artist Programme (VAP). It is one of the largest and most significant initiatives for artist visits in Europe, bringing together 23 partners from different countries. The programme aims to contribute to the professional growth of artists, promote creative exchange and create sustainable opportunities for international cooperation.

The Visiting Artist Programme enables emerging and mid-career dance artists to establish themselves in the international performing arts scene and to better understand its principles and professional challenges. Participants are invited to immerse themselves in the dynamic environment of leading European contemporary dance festivals, where they have the opportunity to attend performances, participate in masterclasses, discussions, and networking events.

During the program, groups of 5-8 artists from different regions of Europe and the world visit VAP partner festivals together. These meetings provide an opportunity to establish contacts with local artists, communicate with national and international performing arts experts and dance professionals. The program promotes close and trust-based cooperation, providing participants with knowledge, contacts, and tools to operate internationally.

The project also pays special attention to diversity and accessibility: Ukrainian artists and artists with disabilities are included in the program. Festivals and their organizing teams participate in special training courses implemented in cooperation with the associated partner Europe Beyond Access.
